The City of Stonnington has an exciting opportunity for a Local History Technician to work in the Stonnington History Centre in Malvern, surrounded by an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants, with various public transport options close by. This position is permanent part time for 14 hours per week / 7 hours per day on Wednesday and Thursday.

In this position you will contribute to the preservation, conservation and maintenance of the Local History Collection, ensuring maternal are available and accessible for the community and researchers.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in a library or archives environment with good knowledge of current industry trends in relation to the preservation, conservation and management of history collections according to archival best practice. Additionally you’ll need an understanding of the role of the History Centre in the community.
