An opportunity exists at the City of Stonnington - one of Melbourne’s most progressive councils, for you to utilise your communications knowledge and strong administration skills to support the marketing and promotion of Council in a full time 6 month contract position.

In collaboration with members of the Economic Development, Arts and Tourism unit and Festival and Events Unit you’ll facilitate marketing and promotions the City of Stonington’s extensive cultural and economic development programs, commercial venues and hire, and communications to Council’s residents, ratepayers, visitors, businesses and stakeholders.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your skills and experience and gain Local Government exposure. Due to the immediate requirement for support on upcoming projects, we will be shortlisting and interviewing while the position is live and advertising and will cease receiving applications once a suitable applicant has been found.

We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic professional, who is a great team player and has strong time management skills. Additionally you’ll need experience in organising and communicating/promoting events, knowledge of the design and print process for publications and demonstrated writing and editing skills. A qualification in Marketing is highly desirable.
