The City of Stonnington has an exciting opportunity for a Middle Years Team Leader to join our Youth and Middle Years Services, located in the heart of Prahran. This is a temporary full time position for approximately 12 months, beginning in early February 2019.

In this position you will lead a team at the Prahran Child and Youth Community Wellbeing Hub (The Hub), ensuring the consistent provision of programs to enhance the social and emotional wellbeing of children on the Horace Petty Office of Housing Estate. Using team management skills, strategic planning, networking and liaising with parents and families you will develop and implement a yearlong calendar of programs actives and events for children and young people aged 5-12 years.

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Community Services or a related discipline with substantial experience in community development environment. To achieve the provision of a safe environment within The Hub, you will have a strong history of advocating on behalf of children and their families and strive to provide a service that protects, enhances and develops children and youth within the municipality. Additionally you will need strong communication skills to provide direction to staff and to gain cooperation and assistance from a wide range of community stakeholders.
