An opportunity exists at the City of Stonnington - one of Melbourne’s most progressive councils for a rewarding career where you can make a real difference in your community. The position is permanent full time for 38 hours a week, however, flexible working arrangements may be considered.

As a Community Grants Officer you’ll act as the primary contact for community grants, coordinating all aspects of the grant program and applying a community development approach to its design and implementation. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for promoting and connecting the community to the grant program and building and maintaining strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. This is a fantastic and meaningful position to help develop a more resilient and connected community.

The successful candidate will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification with experience in grants administration (Substantial relevant experience will be considered in the absence of a formal qualification)
- Well-developed strategies for gaining the cooperation of internal / external customers and stakeholders
- Strong understanding of the needs of diverse communities with a commitment to diversity and equity
- Experience developing and managing accurate information systems with well-developed methods for applying a strong attention to detail
