An opportunity exists at the City of Stonnington - one of Melbourne’s most progressive councils, to utilise your Sport and Rec knowledge, located at the Historic Malvern Town Hall on Glenferrie Road in Malvern, surrounded by an abundance of local shops, cafes and restaurants. This position is permanent full time for 38 hours, however, flexible work arrangements may be considered.

If you’re motivated and enthusiastic and looking to join an innovative Recreation Services unit where you can diversify your experience and become a valued member of a team, than we have the perfect role for you! This position will work with the local community and sporting groups to develop, plan, organise and implement a range of initiatives and projects that foster an active community.

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Recreation, Sports Management, Planning, Community Development or similar discipline, and experience within the sport and recreation field. You will have a demonstrated ability to manage projects of a strategic nature, along with strong interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders to achieve the desired results. An understanding of the culture and operation of sporting and recreation organisations is essential.
