An exciting opportunity exists to join City of Stonnington as Children's Library Officer (temporary full time to cover a maternity leave until December 2018).

As an energetic, lively and customer focused Children's Library Officer, you will be responsible for performing all circulation duties including assisting customers in the use of self-service equipment, basic reader advising enquiries, cash handling and basic assistance with technology enquiries. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering activities for children including story times, Read and Grow, holiday programs and children's outreach activities.

As the successful applicant you will have a genuine interest in providing services for children and youth coupled with excellent customer service skills and previous experience delivering children and youth programs in a public library setting. Furthermore, you will be comfortable using a variety of eResources and the Internet and have demonstrated wide reading interests and general knowledge.
